I recently signed up for a street photography workshop with Leanne Staples and spent 4 lovely (but rainy) hours walking around Soho, NYC. During this time, the rain came and went, allowing us to capture the streets of New York City in its full, sparkling beauty. The colors were ultra-saturated against the dark, wet pavement and people hurried for shelter left and right.
While it poured, we shot from sheltered spots like stoops, under scaffolding and awnings. When the rain let up, we walked around the neighborhood taking photos on the fly. The ones below are the highlights, in my opinion, that accurately express how I view the city and its denizens.
